I took well over 100 pictures, I hope ones I selected give an accurate account of the horns current condition, however, they do not show the imperfections very well that have been noted. I'll give you what history I could find on the model and describe the condition and self restoration best I can. Here's your chance to own a piece of history and a very nice 85 year old horn that I've put at least 30 hours into in hopes it will perform well for you. It was made to be played after all and it's just wrong that it has been lying. I was a French horn player and the Trumpet really didn't hold interest for me and have finally decided it belongs in the hands of someone who will breath life into it. It has spent most of that time in its case. It is a small bore horn with a 41/8" bell. I expect you'll find the nickel adds different tone characteristics than with either silver or brass. I'm no metallurgist but from observation and research I believe this is correct. ![]() The horn is nickel plated with silver plating on the slides and bell exterior, gold leaf pattern on the top of the bell with the interior of the bell gold washed. Up for auction is my model 206 Buescher"wizard" trumpet which I have owned for approximately the past 30 years.
